Education

The CAEDC Education Initiative is a volunteer subcommittee working to expanding learning opportunities for Custer High School students and adult community members with a special focus on workforce development and technical education. We work together with Custer School District, community members, and local business owners to understand local workforce needs and help to build our community’s capacity to respond to those needs.

We understand that a thriving local and regional economy depends on workforce development for a wide diversity of industries. Our current focus is on meeting the needs of our existing businesses, succession planning for critical businesses, and young entrepreneur development.

Custer School District initiatives

We also support Custer School District initiatives like the Cabin Build Project,  Western Dakota Technical Institute certification coursework for High School students, and other programs that engage our community members with high school students.
